Fall is just beginning, and the start of the NFL season also means that winter and freezing temperatures are rapidly approaching.   Your HVAC equipment has made it through the tough cooling season, but it is now time to think about properly winterizing before the temperatures drop.

Here are some items to think about as we prepare for the heating season:

Checking Glycol Levels

Closed loop chilled water systems need to have glycol levels checked prior to the heating season & freezing temperatures.

Improper glycol levels can result in pipes freezing and very costly repairs.

Examples of affected equipment:

Cooling Tower
Chiller
Dry Cooler

Pending Heating Issues

Make sure to review and address any open items from last year's heating season.  Any issues that were not resolved last year will most certainly resurface this winter as the temperatures drop.

Better to proactively address them now, rather than wait until the middle of winter when it will become an emergency.

If you are unsure if you have any pending heating issues, please let us know and we will be happy to look into it for you.
